Dr. Charles B. Bennin is the CEO and Lead Consultant of Triple Grace Consultancy and Logistics Limited; a fast growing deal brokerage and business facilitation firm providing diversified consulting and financial services in Accra, Ghana.
He is a marketing and insurance consultant by profession and a deal broker by practice with proven executive management acumen and experience spanning almost 20 years in his career having previously occupied the Chief Executive Officer slots for KEK Insurance Brokers Sierra Leone Limited in Freetown, IDEAL Insurance Brokers Limited, and Blue Ocean Development Ghana Limited all in Accra, where he successfully these organisations around, significantly improved upon visibility and put in place structures and systems towards growth and profitability within a record time frame.
Prior to his appointment as the Managing Director of IDEAL Insurance Brokers Limited, Dr Bennin took up an appointment as the General Manager for Ghana, Cote D’Ivoire, Burkina Faso and Niger of Hippo Transport Limited; a leading multi-national transport and haulage company headquartered in the harbour City of Tema, Ghana.
He is a very astute marketer and played an instrumental role in ensuring that KEK Insurance Brokers Limited did not just take pride in becoming the leading insurance brokerage firm in Ghana by concentrating only on businesses in the Capital city of Accra which was very saturated, but contributed significantly in the organisation’s penetration and rapid growth in the three leading cities outside Accra by capturing a sizeable portion of the market’s shares through branch operations to augment the efforts of the head office in Accra.
To this end, he served as the Area Manager of the company in the main cities of Takoradi, Kumasi and Tema on various occasions within a period of ten years, and recorded very outstanding performance which eventually culminated in his elevation to the Group Head Office as the Head of Business Development, Marketing & Research.
Later on in his insurance career, Charles Bennin took up executive management positions within the mainstream insurance industry as the Head of Marketing & Business Development of Donewell Insurance Company Limited, and made great strides there as well. He is a member of the Association of Ghana Industries
Charles B. Bennin holds a Master’s in Business Administration (Marketing) Certificate from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and a Bachelor of Education Certificate in Psychology from the University of Cape Coast.
He also possesses the Part II qualification of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK and a Foundation in Insurance Certificate from the Malta International Training School, as well as a holder of the IAPPD Professional Leadership Certificate.
In 2017, he was appointed as the Country Ambassador and Global Advisory Board Member of the AFRICA TRADE AND INVESTMENT GLOBAL SUMMIT; a trade and investment show organized in June 2018 in Washington DC, USA aimed at offering African countries the platform to showcase their investment opportunities and potentials to foreign investors and leaders towards attracting foreign direct investment in the continent at which event a US based Culture of Honour and Golden Rule Civility Organisation based in California known as iChange Nations, that focuses on producing Statesmanship globally, conferred an honorary doctorate degree in humanities and global networking skills on him at Capitol Hill, USA and later appointed him as the Country Representative and Chairman for the West African Sub-Region.
Some of the remarkable projects Triple Grace is presently facilitating include funding for the construction of the Takoradi Harbour Expansion and Multi-purpose Container Terminal project in the Western Region of Ghana valued at $422 million, The Ghana Airport Company Limited Refinancing of the Kotoka International Airport Terminal Three Expansion in Accra, which is currently ongoing and valued at $450 million and recently appointed as Lead Arranger for the African Tranche commercialization of the Globo Hydro Power Products covering 46 African countries estimated at $74 million. The company is also part of a consortium currently having discussions with the University of Ghana Council in connection with the proposed Shopping Mall and related projects as well some identified projects under PPP and BOT.
He has travelled extensively to participate in conferences and seminars both locally and internationally and has won several awards including the West African Nobles’ Forum for his contribution to the growth of the local insurance industry when he single-handedly initiated a special live insurance education series on National TV.
Charles is widely connected in government circles both locally and internationally, in the corporate environment, with royals and celebrities and passionately leverages on his experience, exposure and expertise to the advantage of his business partners, clients and all those who come into contact with him.
